Yezin Agricultural University, YAU (Main Campus) lies in 19°52′ N, 96°37′ E with the elevation of 340 feet above sea level and situated at Yezin Area, in Zeyar Thiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar. It is 410 km far from Yangon city and 283 km far from Mandalay city. Its neighboring institutes are University of Veterinary Science (UVS) in the North, University of Forestry and Environmental Science (UFES) and Forestry Research Institute (FRI) are in the East.
Department of Agricultural Research is in the South. Yangon-Mandalay high way is running South to North in the west of University. YAU covers over 146 hectares in which about 41 hectares is allocated to the University model research farm.
For effective area and technology development and better contact with the local growers, YAU also has 7 outreach campuses across the country and they are hosting the final year bachelor students who are studying their respective specialization study and local field study.
